Cime Aventures is an outdoor recreation base in the heart of the Baie-des-Chaleurs in Gaspésie in the province of Québec. Located by the pristine waters of the Rivière Bonaventure, they offer a unique outdoor experience in an eco-friendly environment.
This project required me to create new logos for the company itself, as well as the on-site restaurant. Once the logo for Cime was created, I then designed business cards for each employee, along with a general card that had no specific name on it.
Cime Aventures' logo :: I was asked to use specific items: the colours and the water and tree elements. These all referred to the vacation, almost resort-like feeling they want to portray, without forgetting about the environmental and water elements around them. The colours evoke warmth, relaxation and the outdoors. The font shows stability and strength, without being over powering and refers to the nature of the business: the outdoors.
L'Acayenne Logo :: The colour choice was left to me, but it had to flow with the logo, since they would be used side by side. They wanted an organic feel that reflected ''a unique outdoor dining experience''. L'Acayenne is a play on words referring to three different things: Cayenne (like the spice), Cayen (refers to the people of Bonaventure village) and Acadien (referring to the Acadian roots of the people who own it). The star is represented on the Acadian flag and the pepper refers to the spiciness of the restaurant name and the unique food. The colours are meant to reflect the environment and a punch of excitement.
